WD-EMC (War Dogs Easy Mortar Calculator) is a free tool for War Dogs players who use the L81 mortar or the artillery tank. You paste your position and the enemy's position, and it tells you the exact range to dial into your sight. No more guessing, no wasted shells, and no warning the enemy with ranging shots.
The game's map coordinates work like a grid where 1 unit equals 100 meters. The distance between you and your target is the long side of a right triangle, so the calculator uses the Pythagorean formula:
Example: you are at 98.43, 110.38 and the enemy is at 94.53, 109.03. The X difference is 3.90 and the Y difference is 1.35. Square them (15.21 and 1.82), add them (17.03), and take the square root (4.13). Times 100, the target is about 413 m away.
These numbers are approximate and may change with game updates. Hills, buildings and trees between you and the target can still block a shell, so pick a clear line of fire.
